Echoes of the Canyon: Student Stories in the Ages of COVID-19 What started as an English class assignment in how to use primary sources in academic research such as letters and personal journals ended as a published collection of student stories of loss, courage, despair and hope in the age of COVID-19. SCC English Department faculty members thought the students' letters, essays, poems, and journal entries were so compelling in documenting the impact of the pandemic on real lives that these stories should be shared with a broader audience. The result is Echoes of the Canyon: A Journal in the Time of COVID-19. All net proceeds from the book will go the Hawk's Nest Food Pantry at Santiago Canyon College. To find out more, click below.
